AC Hotel by Marriott Portland Downtown/Waterfront, ME

I booked this property as a surprise birthday trip for my husband and everything was amazing from the moment we walked in the doors. Transportation was provided for dinners, local recommendations, but mostly, I would love to thank Sebastian as he took care of everything for us! He was beyond helpful; from decorating the room to shipping our parcel that got left behind. He was an absolute angel. I would definitely recommend and visit again!

Unfortunately our stay was short. The room was clean and comfortable. Vallet was extremely nice and helpful. Shuttle driver was very helpful and nice. Front desk staff not as warm kind bubbly helpful as expected/experienced with most every other hotel stay. Seemed clean and beautiful Christmas tree in lobby. Great location and I did get the King bed/water view as booked. :)

The room smelled amazing!!!! I would LOVE to be able to purchase whatever was used to make the room smell so good. The location was super close to Old Port and Scales (an amazing and must try restaurant). The room was exceptionally clean and a decent size. The bar was also nice and had some of the bourbons we enjoy sipping on. I would absolutely stay here again.

Room was very clean, and stylish. Everything seemed relatively new and in good condition. I liked that there was plenty of seating available - couch, chair, benches under the tv. I also appreciated the mini fridge w/two complimentary waters. Bonus, that the hydration station was right next to our room & we used it to fill our water bottles several times. Location of the hotel was good, but at the far end of the Old Port area. I had originally booked the Aloft, at the other end of town, and I'm so glad we opted for the location of the AC Hotel. The staff was welcoming & friendly. We had a very early flight out, requiring a taxi at 4:15am, and they were helpful making it happen. The beds were pretty comfortable, and there were outlets with USBs next to both sides of the bed.

Comfy bed and pillows, adequate amenities.
